About Reach For The Sky

Reach for the Sky has flown many thousands of happy passengers since 1990 and flying has been our passion as far back as the early sixties. Our Managing Director and Chief Pilot flew the British Airways Concorde as Senior Flight Engineer for over 25 years. We believe we know how to take good care of you.

We're not a large company and we specialise in offering a personal service. Our pilots and crew have developed a special relationship over several years and initially became involved because of their love of ballooning. Many of our passengers come back to fly again and again and certainly pass on their recommendation to family, friends, colleagues and neighbours.

We are licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) who continually monitor our operation and who annually renew our Air Operator's Certificate. In addition, we are members of both the British Association of Balloon Operators, our industry representative organisation and the British Balloon and Airship Club.

For those wishing to become involved, crew and pilot training is available under the guidance of our in house Flight Instructor and CAA Approved Examiner who can recommend the issue of both Private and Commercial Pilots licenses.
